Auto Repair in Wimberley, TX
The small city of Wimberley, TX, is located in Hays County between Buda and Kyle, about a 20-minute drive northwest of San Marcos. Wimberley covers a land area of nine square miles, home to an estimated population of roughly 3,100 people.
Wimberley is one of the oldest settlements in the county, established as a trading post near Cypress Creek in 1848. It became the site of a gristmill in 1856 under William Carvin Winters, changing owners more than once until Pleasant Wimberley made the purchase in 1874, at which time the mill took his name. After the mill closed in 1925, the community continued to grow as a resort town that proved popular with tourists. Wimberley was finally incorporated as a city in 2000. The Winters-Wimberley House of 1856 survives to this day and holds a place on the National Register of Historic Places.
